How the Iota Gamma Omega Chapter is meeting this initiative:

On February 7, 2023 members of the Iota Gamma Omega and Theta Nu chapters of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in partnership with Coca Cola packed 500 backpacks for low-income students from Prince George’s County.

On December 16, 2022, Coca-Cola Consolidated teammates, PG County leaders, community partners and Silver Spring Leadership Team assembled 400 backpacks for teachers in the Prince George’s County. The kits were filled with school supplies, including Clorox wipes, pencils, glue sticks, Kleenex, notebooks, and a dry erase board. The kits were assembled at our Silver Spring facility. Once assembled, the backpacks were loaded onto a Coke truck and delivered to the offices of Prince George’s County Public School System to be delivered to teachers across the county.
