Impact: Exposed over 130 participants who received the “Summer on the Bluff” book which adds additional reinforcements to sustain interest in becoming an author. Event proceeds support the Prince George’s African American Museum and Cultural Center.
Resilience: The Harlem Renaissance Suitland High School Project
Phase I: Art Careers Mindfulness, Live Performances, & Careers as a Director Phase II: Create Authentic Art Phase III: Community Public Art 3D Mapping Project
Impact: More than 1,000 citizens will have an opportunity to learn about and experience sights and sounds of the Harlem Renaissance through a 3D Projection Art Map installation as a culminating activity to the Resilience Program.
Drew-Freeman Middle School Harlem Renaissance Scholars Literary Art Book Program
Impact: 100 books distributed through 2021 for the Harlem Renaissance Literary Arts Book Program to increase the bottom 50 percentile of low reading scores in the County by 5%.
